Greetings Friends,

I was born in Russia and spent most of my life there. The beauty of my home town, Saint-Petersburg, with its incredible architecture and amazing museums, formed my life’s view of perception. The works of Rodin, Michael Angelo, Rastrelli and many others inspired me; and made me dream about being an artist. Only here, in the United States, do I begin to realize my dream.

I am interested in creating images and objects that express my feelings about political or social matters, or humanity and nature. I cannot stay insensitive to the beauty of everyday life as well. I drive myself in different directions, from classical, traditional art to more contemporary, modern sculptures.

The process of creation makes me feel happy and complete. In the dialog between myself and the media, I always allow the clay to lead me. I give a lot of attention to the details and I fully believe in saying, that God is in the details.

I like to see people smile when they view my art. I also like to see them thinking and discussing the artistic ideas. I believe art can be a powerful tool to change the world for better, as it challenges viewers’ opinions, and alters perceptions.
